True enough...but I prefer 1.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I prefer 4, and that is the way I do submit the Disc Info's where none was exisiting.

If I am updating a profile and 1 was the existing data then I would not change that but if the data was one of the other examples I would change it to 4 format.

I also prefer #4.
Imho this matches best because both show the correct abbreviation of the media-type.

I prefer #1 because Blu-ray seems to be the 'official' name used by the Blu-ray association over BD.

I don't really care which, but ...

Is it really that important that it's necessary to contribute updates that only change the description?

That's my thought process as well. We seem to be specifying the format, not the name of the disc, so we are saying 'Blu-ray' rather than an abbreviation of 'Blu-ray Disc'.

I like the idea of having one uniform description for the disc, so I will always go for Main Feature (Blu-ray) and would like every dual release in my collection to have the same.

No it's not.  Changes can be made locally.

This.  Utterly.  If you're updating, at least have the decency to check the cast at the very least.

Although I'd say 4 - we call a Digital Versatile Disc a DVD, so why we can't call a Blu-ray a BD is beyond me.

I thought the idea was to identify the format, not the physical item. DVD refers to both, whereas Blu-ray refers to the format and Blu-ray Disc, or BD, to the shiny plastic disc.
