- Highlight that line of text and paste into a word editor.  You will need to perform a lot of search / replace to get rid of all the html code...

You can also use a free web-based tool such as TextFixer to convert HTML to Plain Text.

it's a film based on an existing piece of material. Whether that existing piece of material is a book, a play, a song, an idea even, shouldn't matter. To me, this is exactly what OMB is.

Indeed.

Looks a bit like (a young) Armand Assante or Jean Dujardin.

I am getting awfully uncomfortable with the highjacking of this thread. If you must, please start a new thread such as "How do we go on without DVD Profiler?"

I would like to see a 'Recently Added' tab added to the Add to Collection windows so that one could easily find what profiles were recently added to the online database.

For that, I sort my list using the Last Edited column:

I would use the original EAN, the one printed on the box, not the one reinvented by the vendor.

Most often, they print a new label, not because the EAN was wrong, but rather because they want to get rid of old stock with a apparently newer release date or they mean it to be a different release in a different locality. I have witnessed numerous examples of such cases on amazon.ca, using original products from amazon.com.

It makes me wonder if Invelos is filtering them out on purpose.

It is more likely that DVD Profiler, and AnyDVD, uses the same way to generate (and recognize) a DiscID from a physical disc as the old CDrom.sys.

Personally I use AnyDVD so all disc IDs that I contribute will be the "correct" IDs. But I'm not sure how useful they will be, since most users will not be using AnyDVD.

One could argue that the correct discID is the one that does not use a driver built to remove copy preventions, something deemed illegal is some countries. I sure hope that most users are not using any of those decripters. I do not.

I vote for option two.  It makes your life easier and no one will ever complain about it.

I agree. Also, wondering which is best for the online database, I would hesitate to remove data which, although undocumented, has not been proven wrong.

Set shipping rates at:
£1.99 for UK for up to 40 items.
£4.99 for Europe for up to 20 items.
£12.99 rest of world for up to 20 items.

Are those rates per item or for any number of items up to the limit indicated? For instance, for 5 items shipped to Canada, is it £12.99 or £64.95?

This is a translation of the question:

"Hi, if I install LoadDVD pro, will I be able to view, using an external link, the trailer of a movie added to my collection.
If I can, how do I get the plugin?"

À Depechemode: que voulez vous dire exactement par "via un lien externe"?
Aussi, Mediadogg suggère de continuer la discussion dans le forum dédié aux plugins LoadDVD.

Since the problem was identified, I have been wondering what to do. Linking the physical disc to its profile is essential to maintain the database functionality. It is unreasonable to expect every contributor to revert to the old cdrom.sys driver, or to replace the driver with a decrypter, like anyDVD. Therefore, I have  started to contribute the new DiscID for all DVD profiles where I provided the initial DiscID.
