I am back after a long time and just got my DB up to date.  I find I have 4 titles (old) that do not have a collection nbr.  How can i correct this?

An odd thing about this is that 3 of the titles start with Z and should be sorted at the bottom but always display at the top ... if this helps

You could either 1) manually assign numbers by editing the personal information of the affected profiles or 2) reassign collection numbers (from the file menu: Collection -> Reassign Collection Numbers...)

so if i edit and assign the next number ... will it be smart enough to know that number is in use when it trys to add a new disk?  Just don't want to get into problems.  Or do i add a bigger number?

If you assign a number it will be smart enough to know to use the next available open number.

If you try to manually assign a number that has already been used, the program will throw up a warning although you can still use that number if you choose to do so.
