Hi all,  I haven't been on this forum for quite a while so apologies if this has already been discussed.  Is it possible to edit an online collection away from one's own computer? At the moment, I am on my works computer and I can see all my DVDs but can't change a thing on them. I was hoping to be able to replace some of the artwork for example and change the numbering on others.  If not, I guess I will just have to wait until I get home and do some work

Thanks in advance,
Peter

There's no way to edit the online collection without an upload from the application.

Ok thanks. I thought that probably was the case.  I take it you mean you have to make alterations on the PC the main programme is on, then upload the changes to the online version?

Yes, that is what he means.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

You can also use either the Android or iOS apps for this.

Do you send your new scans of cover art to your work computer, or do you scan the covers at work?

Sorry bbbbb, I didn't see your message until now.  I usually do updates to artwork etc at home. I just thought if it was possible to do them at work, I could do it during quiet times

You could make a backup, put it on a thumb drive; install DVDP on your work computer (if it's allowed); copy the backup to that computer and restore it to your work computer; do whatever work you want and make a new backup. Here's the tricky part, you must only work on the database on one computer at a time. In other words, it you make changes at home you must make a backup and take it to work. If you make changes at work, you must make a backup and take it back home, essentially only ever working on one copy of the database at a time.
