I have DVD Profiler for iOS on both my iPhone and iPad.  With the new update I have uploaded my collection to the online database.  However, when I go to view my online collection here on the Invelos website I get an "Online Collection Not Viewable" page.  This page states that "Web-based collection viewing is available with a paid registration for DVD Profiler PC."  Does this mean that I can only view my iOS uploaded collection if I pay for a Windows copy of DVD Profiler?  This really isn't an option for me since I only have a MacBook Pro and no Windows machine.  Is there any way to view my collection on the Invelos website or am I just out of luck for now?

Well I guess I will just assume that the only way to view my collection online is to purchase the desktop version.  Haven't heard whether this is the case for sure or not though.

AFAIK, you need a registration key from the desktop version.

I had hoped that there would eventually be a Mac or Linux version but from  the FAQ it seems unlikely. The fact that there is an ios version has me hoping again though because I've read that ios and Mac programming is supposed to be very similar.

My current workaround is to run a beta version of Windows (usually free) in a VMware or Parallels virtual machine. VMware and Parallels  usually run $40-$80 depending on when you get it but VirtualBox is still free and, from what I hear, works just as we'll for a basic VM. You only really need VMware or Parallels for their specific/unique features. Everything else is supposedly doable with VirtualBox.

Also: relevant wiki entry.

Yeah I figured that you had to have a registration for the desktop version to get access to an online profile.  Just this past weekend I purchased the desktop version and got it running on my MacBook Pro via a program called Crossover.  It's kind of like the programs you mentioned but does not require Windows at all to run.  So far it works pretty good but as to be expected there are a few quirks here and there.  I am still hoping for a native Mac version.

I tried Crossover a long time ago but never got it to work properly with the apps I t was wanting to use at the time (I understand that performance varies widely from app to app).  That's why I didn't mention it. I have had it work flawlessly in a VM though.

IMHO, a VM or Bootcamp setup are the best options. YMMV…
