I would really like it if dvdProfiler could remember where on the screen it is so that it will start up where i left it.

Sorry I should have be more precise.  When I say dvdProfiler I am talking about the entire dvdProfiler window which contains all the portions of the layout.

During my work day I set up the windows on my screen so i can do my work and still access other programs easily.  Though I haven't used the lock before, i just tried it and it still doesn't OPEN at the 'saved' position.

I moved dvdProfiler so that the right and bottom edges are at the right and bottom edges of the screen.  Then i View->Lock Layout.  Then I close dvdProfiler.
When I start it up .. it loads to a different position on the screen.

I am looking for it to open with the right edge and bottom edge at the right of the screen and the bottom of the screen.

It's Windows 7 feature and works fine on my computer. Always opens in same place where I closed it. You can also try Flag + arrow keys to fit window quickly (Win 7 only).

My bad, I forgot that that piece of crap even exits. I ment that the feature was added after Win XP. With Vista anything is possible, things might work or not, usually not. At least now I know why you are having performance issues

Please don't take this wrong .. but nonsense.  I have been using Vista 64 since it came out, developing sw (windows and terminal based) and using plenty of other programs AND HAVE NOT had an issue with Vista at all.
And as for the performance issues .. I have reinstalled dvdProfiler with the speed problems have been corrected.  I believe that there was some problem with the beta over 3.7 then the install of 3.8 on top of that.  Maybe yes .. maybe no .. but to simply blame the os is well again .. nonsense.

PLUS if you look at the download page, one of the supported OSs IS Vista.

Just tested this with XP and no problems. It remembers exactly where and what size the the DVDP window was when closed. So it has to be a configuration issue.
