Will iTunes Backup and Need i an bünde pc Version to Sync?

Hello,

Since a few days i own an iPad 3 besides my iPhone. The only Solution to keep my DVD Collection on my side was to buy DVD profiler for the iPad. So i got it on my iPhone as well.

Two questions i can not found with search or on the net:

1. If i Backup my iPad with iTunes:  will all DVD data backupped as well?  If i Must setup the iPad from scratch will there be Data lost? How i Backup the Data for worst cases?

2. I dont Need the pc Version. All i ever Need is an mobile Way to See which Movies i own. Ii it possible to Sync all Movies between iPhone and with the Free Version on the pc or will i lost some Data later on?  My Collection will store 450 DVDs.

Sorry for grammar but the Auto completion on the iPad as an German User in english is Horrible.

Yes, the iTunes backup keeps all your data. If you need to restore your iOS device from the backup, all data will be intact.

Normally you shouldn't loose any data when syncing with the free desktop version. Some people had trouble syncing in the past. As best as I can tell, in most cases the problems only occurred when the database originated on an iOS device. I would suggest waiting for the release of DVDP 3.8 for desktop and DVDP for iOS 1.2 before you try to sync. Both should be released soon.

Tanks for your answer. I dont Need the pc Version yet. On the iPad the Access is much faster (nö Boot time etc). So i use iTunes for Backup and everything is Fine. Tanks.
