One more small issue. When you add a box set to your collection, in all child profiles the information in the Personalize DVD section is neatly copied over from the parent profile: purchase date, purchase place. However if you bought the set in/from a country with a different currency, that currency is not carried over from the parent to the child profiles; the child profiles stick to the default currency.

It would be neat if the actual currency was copied over from the parent profile as well.

You are correct that the children will get an amount of 0, but they still get a currency. What I think he means is that a box set may be purchased at 59 pounds (currency of the country where it was bought) and the children get a purchase price of 0 euro (default currency in DVDProfiler)
I haven't seen this happen, but if it does it seems to be a bug.

In the meantime, you could install the plugin "Initialilze TV Show Child Profiles" which allows you to preset your child profiles with a custom set of parent information of your choosing.

And for a another way to generate child profiles with selected Parent info from discIDs, see BulkEdit (Collection/Flagged/Clone Children From DiscIDs). BulkEdit also includes a menu for deleting the discs from the Parent profile when you're done. Lots o' Tools out there!
