Missing countries in the list of "Country of Origin" |

| | Posted: | | | | There are a number of countries missing from the fixed drop down "Country of Origin" list. Egypt is one of them, Uruguay is another, not to mention countries of the former Yugoslavia region (such as Slovenia and Bosnia) that are coming up with award winning movies every year . It is very frustrating not to be able to manually add a new country of origin. Can we expect that the Invelos programming department can fix this? |

| | Posted: | | | | Since (at least as I understood it) the CoO list is running parallel to the "Locality"-list, new countries usually only get added when the rating system got verified.
IMO the easiest way out of this problem would be to make the CoO-list user-editable while locking down the Locality list.
The only (but severe) problem would be how to prevent the contributors from becoming overly creative with their new "countries". | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

| | Posted: | | | | While not a real solution it is workable. You can add countries via the tag system, say create a tag for Ecuador. It is a local issue, whether it is countries or languages someone is always going to want more. Even if they are the only Martian  using the program. The list is expanded with almost every new version, and you may be satisfied at that point, but then there will be a Venusian saying the same thing.  | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Ultimately I wish that Ken would untie the Locality and Country of Origin fields so that many more CoOs could be added, but only Ken can make that decision. I would also like to see a way to indicate international co-productions, even if it's something as simple as a CoO of "Multiple".
In the meantime, I have tags for films from the following 36 countries:

- Bosnia
- Botswana
- Burkina Faso
- Cameroon
