Hi,

Ever since upgrading my iPhone 3GS to iOS5, I'm getting no end of problems.  Everytime I try and synchornise my iPhone DVD Profiler with DVD Profiler on my PC, for some stupid reason it doesn't always register the phone as "connected", and even if it does register, it takes forever and a day to do anything - more often than not, simply timing out, and refusing to do anything!

I launch the PC software, then I launch my iPhone DVD Profiler app. As soon as I try to sync and update, it just keeps coming up with the stupid error message:

"Unable to connect. Please ensure that DVD Profiler is running and that sharing is active. Retry the connecton - Yes or No?"

Can anyone help me, as it's really :censored: me off in a big way?

Pooch

ADDENDUM: Seems to be a problem with the images! Sync will work, if Front Images and Back Images are set to "off" on iPhone. Soon as either or both are switched to "on", the iPhone throws a hissy fit!

Your Post should Read I phone refusing to synchronize with DVD Profiler  as it is the Apple software that is very buggy .. I just bought my Iphone this past month and I refuse to upgrade to the IOS5  as I have read on the NET the hoorors that others are having .. Stay away .. from this upgrade ... and monitor the net for any updates from Apple or their Users ...

I don't know about the 3GS but I don't have any problems with a 4 and 4S and an iPad 1.

You already narrowed your problem down to the images. Did you try a database repair ? Also try to reboot your iPhone.

The writer of that ariticle is obviously an idiot. If he knew that the iTunes backup prior to upgrading his device to iOS5 had failed, then why on earth did he go ahead and upgrade anyways? Once in a while iTunes backup fails on my system and I just close iTunes, reopen it and re-sync. The backup completes everytime I do that. I never upgrade until I'm certain I have a current backup.
