Dear Sir/Madam,
I have the following usability problem with your iPhone app:
When searching for movie titles either via the search field at the top of the collection DVD list or via filter, entries inside box sets are not searched.
Why is this a problem? I own thousands of movies. Therefore, when buying a DVD or Blu-ray and I am not sure whether or not I already own this movie, I use the DVD Profiler iPhone app to look up the title. Now, if I actually do own the movie, BUT it is inside a box set, the search or filter will come up dry.
Unfortunately, last Saturday this resulted in my buying a movie I already owned but which was "hidden" inside a box set. Very disappointing.
Best regards
Frank Stahl

what I do is to hide the boxset so they are not transferred to the iphone app from the PC app - that way I know all the movies will be in my list at the top level (and therefore found with search).

(btw - the hide options are under personalise)

Paul is correct. In order for Child Profiles that are part of a Box Set to be transferred to your mobile device, you must "Exclude From DVD Profiler for iPhone" every Box Set parent profile in your collection. In order to do this you must flag all of your Box Sets then from the menu: Collection>Flagged>Exclusions "Exclude From DVD Profiler for iPhone". Now all of the child profiles that were part of those box sets will be transferred to your iOS device.

I guess this won't work for DVDs which have "bonus movies" on a second DVD? (For example "The Ten Commandments" which has the 1956 movie data in the "parent" profile and then the bonus 1923 movie in a child profile.)

I don't think that's too much of a problem for the OP since Bonus movies aren't usually released to DVD individually for sale so there's little chance that he'll "accidentally" purchase it again. The 1923 version of "The Ten Commandments", for example, isn't available on DVD...only VHS. Personally, I don't consider sets like "The Ten Commandments: Limited Edition" as Box Sets and I don't set them up as such because if I did, then the 1956 version of "The Ten Commandments" would get excluded from my iPod and it would only transfer the child profile of the 1923 version over.
