I'm in the process of creating a media server to store all my DVDs (in digital format) so I can access them from any tv in the house.  I can't figure out the best way to store them in DVDP though.  I was playing around with using custom collections (one for physical dvd and one for digital copy) but I can't enter the same dvd twice.  I'm thinking of creating a new database for the digital copies.  If I create a new database on my iPhone, will it transfer to the desktop version when I sync?  (I'm at work and desktop version is at home.)  Is there a better way to do this than multiple databases (that can be accomplished via the iOS version?)

How does everyone else handle media servers?
