Hi Everybody,

I use the software for quite a long time with windows and bought recently the ipad-version. That is the point where the trouble started. I was still not able to sync the database to my IPad. If I try do so, the IPad-Profiler tells me that its connected and it starts with reading the database. The blue status bar is reaching about a third to a half very quickly and is stopping there until eternity. The windows profiler tells me, that there is one connected client and after 15 seconds it says, that the client is idle. Nothing more happens.

Any help or clue is appreciated!!!

Best Regards
Axel

Try a database repair on the desktop.
Close both desktop version and the app. Make sure the app is completely closed (not in the multitask bar). Reboot the iPad.

Now try again and hopefully it will work.

Thanks for the very fast reply! But sadly that did not work. Any other clue around?

I don't think there is a problem with a firewall or the router settings.

Are you close to the router when you try to sync ? If not, try syncing with the iPad close to the router to make sure the problem isn't caused by a weak connection.

If that doesn't help, maybe you should open a support ticket.

Sometimes, backing up & restoring in a new database fixes issues a db repair doesn't. If a sync with the new db works, restore into your main db.

First of all, thank you all for the quick support and the fast answers. The wireless lan is not the problem as the router is only about 5m away and other applications are doing fine. Also the configuration of the router and firewall seems to be o.k. as the following happens this morning.

After repairing the db and rebooting again (you never know). I tried to sync again. For some reason the sync seems to work, as the progress bar "reading database" reached the end and also copied profiles and images.

That is the good part of the story. But it did not sync the whole collection (about 850 records). I have only about 80 entries on the ipad. So far so good. Without changing anything I tried to sync again. And what happened? Same procedure as before. The progress bar stopped about the half of the way and nothing more was going on. So at least I have a partial collection on my Ipad. Sad but true. What is driving me mad, is that due to the things this morning there seems to be some "random" aspect. Maybe I have to open a ticket or I need a little miracle

Best Regards and thanks to all!
Axel
