Hello

Under EAN 4-030521-715608 are two titles: When you enter the EAN then it is Jagdfieber 2 Blu-ray without cover and this is wrong. When I search for Rescue Dawn Blu-ray I find it and it has the same EAN, but this is the EAN of Rescue Dawn and NOT Jagdfieber 2. Can somebody correct this in the database? How can this happen that two different titles are under the same EAN?

Thanks for deleting Jagdfieber 2 under this EAN.

Fritz

Some companies re-use EANs, or make mistakes.

The DVD Profiler database only allows one such identifier, but the identifier consists of EAN+locality. In the case you showed, the two profiles will be in different localities.

Well, in theory it is perfectly possible that the distributor recycled the EAN/UPC, it's a very unfortunate habit.

In this case I'd rather assume that someone (possibly but not necessarily from Switzerland) wanted Jagdfieber 2 in the database so bad that he/she re-used an EAN and simply changed the locality. I mean, look at the profiles, Rescue Dawn is pretty complete and well groomed where Jagdfieber 2 only carries very few information at all.

If you want the Jagdfieber-profile gone change the title to "Screeners please delete" or something like it and explain your reason in the contribution notes.

If you want to submit a Swiss-Profile for Rescue Dawn under this EAN just do it and again explain your reasons for overwriting the other profile in addition to documenting the sources of your data.
