I've used DVD Profiler for two years, so I'm not quite a newbie.  Anyway, I discovered that since upgrading to 3.7 that when I sort by media type some of our more recent Blu-ray Disc additions appear grouped after the rest of our Blu-rays.  No other boxes are checked aside from the Blu-ray format, so I don't understand what the problem is.  We haven't watched all of them so the "Last Watched" field shouldn't be a factor.

That said, I have marked one DVD as watched since the upgrade and now it appears after the rest of the DVDs.  Am I alone in this?  Did I overlook something obvious?

Not sure if I fully understand your problem. Could you submit a screencap, please.

For sorting problems the first thing I would check is the sort-title (to be found in the "Personal"-tab of the profile editor).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I can't do a screencap, but here's an idea what my list looks like when I hit Sort by Media > Descending

American Psycho [Blu-ray]
Eyes Wide Shut [Blu]
Toy Story 3 [Blu/DVD/DC combo]
Batman: Under the Red Hood [Blu]

I bought Batman: Under the Red Hood after the 3.7 upgrade, and note that it appears alphabetically after the rest of the Blus.  This same kind of grouped alphabetizing also affects a few of my DVDs, all of which were either added or marked as watched after the upgrade.

I can't reproduce that. Are custom categories involved? Or did you move the profiles from your Wish List to Owned? And I guess you've already tried to sort by some other field and then Media Type again?

With all kinds data errors, a database repair is always a good first step. It can be found in the start menu and in Tools -> Options... -> Utilities.

Check for the sorting title of "Batman: Under the Red Hood" (in the "Personal"-tab of the profile editor), seems to me it's only "Under the Red Hood", sorting would match the entered criteria in this case.
For correcting the sorting simply add "Batman: "

I used the repair databases feature, and all that did was replace all the artwork I'd added with the default thumbnails.  The oddly grouped titles have remained at the tail end of each section.

@Silence_of_Lambs - It's not a sort title issue.  Just to clarify, I only gave a few titles in my illustration to show that Batman: Under the Red Hood is one of the titles that appears out of place.  I didn't think it necessary to list my entire library to demonstrate the problem, so I gave a microcosm.

I forgot to address these specific questions.

No custom categories are involved; these are titles that appear exclusively in my Owned list (and, of course, by default also appear in the All Titles list).  No titles were moved from the Wish List.  I added them directly to the Owned list.  And I've tried to sort by title, then by media type.  It doesn't even make sense if I had previously sorted by date last watched or date purchased, because 1) the rest of my list entries don't reflect any such sorting and 2) I haven't watched all of the titles I've bought since the 3.7 upgrade.  I could even understand it if it was pulling titles I've bought OR watched since the upgrade, but either?
