| Posted: | | | | With so many titles coming out now that include digital copies; how about including a "hotlink" to the movie title which would point to the location on your hard drive where the movie is located? That way I can go into DVD Profiler - search or filter by digital copy - then click on the hotlink to start watching my selected movie.

Regards, Movie-Maniac Confirming what dee1959jay and VirusPil have suggested. LoadDVD or LoadDVD Pro are designed for exactly that purpose, if you don't mind using a plugin. Alternatively, if you go to the Layouts Forum, there are probably some "play trailer" solutions there that could be adapted to playing digital copies. If you need more help than that, just mosey on over to the respective forum (LoadDVD or Layouts) and get more explicit help. As for your original request, I agree that it would be cool to have a dedicated field in the database. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | This thread reminded me that I needed to collect all my digital copies. Turns out I only have about 15 or so. One problem I have noticed is that if you put the digital copy on a server, you will get a DRM problem, and at least on the one I just tried for Green Zone, I was taken to a web site to get re-authorized, even though I had already done that to download it in the first place. I didn't continue - I just assumed that it would fail due to the one-time-only restriction.
So, if that's the way they all work, digital copies will have limited usefulness for me. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | I have the LoadDVD plugin from Mediadogg and it works perfectly. I just highlight the movie in DVDProfiler and click on the icon for the movie (that I have stored on my hard drive) and voila .. it begins to play. It takes a bit to get it set up, but once you do, it works perfectly. I highly recommend the plugin! |
