friends,

excuse me if this has been already been asked or not possible. i'm very new here

it would be really something if there was a way to have an icon up at the top of the program (like the rotten tomatoes icon) that led you directly to roger ebert's review of the movie. or better yet, if it said what his rating was for the movie.

thoughts?

thank you!

Not to discourage the idea, but to put things into perspective, there is a near-endless number of links that one could "request" be added in that section. To counter this, an area was created in the database for links only.

Highlight the entry that you want to see links for and go to the tabs:

Online -> Other Websites -> Profile Links

This will pull up a page in your browser showing all links that have been submitted to the database for that particular ID.

I am not sure why this icon was not added to that same grouping as where you are asking (next to the other site links), and I don't know if there is n easier way to access it, but it's close to what you are wanting. Keep in mind, like everything else here, all links are user-submitted. So while you may want links under that particular site/person/situation, they may not have been added yet by anyone.

I hope that this helps in a way

As Blair noted, you can use the profile links for the particular title you want Ebert's review for and add the link (putting it under the review category).

Even though it's not there by default, there's nothing to stop a person adding it to their layout. That should make it a little bit easier.

Certainly Dorrell. That's what we're here for

Good point north. Although I at first thought that it was something merely overlooked, the fact that IMDb is no longer there (it can still be found in the "Classic" skin) gives me the impression that there was a reason for not including a Profile Links button for that section. I have no idea what that could be, but speculation gets us nowhere and really isn't important here anyway.

*shrug*

It should be pointed out the links section guidelines prohibit adding links to individual reviews like Ebert's.  Though if we could add them he'd be my first choice.

Do not link to individual movie reviews, only review aggregators such as RottenTomatoes. Individual reviews of the media (DVD, Blu-ray) are OK.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!
