(This may have been requested a dozen times before, but I'll mention it again anyway just in case.)

It would be nice to have the ability to flag any DVD's that we wish (be it all in one category such as "Owned" or at random throughout the database); select a particular cast/crew member which brings up the window showing all of that individual's photo, BY, and roles; and tick an added checkbox: "Filter Results" (or better yet, the checkbox be auto-checked if any flags are being used and not selected if no flags are currently in use).

This would display only the credits for that individual based on the filtered DVD's instead of all credits all of the time.

The question was asked if this could be done in Profiler, and though it can be done using the Database Query plugin (which has been very helpful in many ways), the long load time is a key factor in this particular instance given the fact that this could probably be done much more easily, more precisely, and of course much faster directly through Profiler.

Since the original question came from me, I of course endorse this feature request. Thanks Blair for explaining and posting the request.

+1 for it being your idea anyway.

While I understand the request and also support it, after reading the original post and the reason for it couldn't you just go to your owned tab and then filter on the actor\director\etc you are looking for? then you will see all the movies you own that that person is in or directed etc.

Yes, you can, and that is certainly a viable option.

The original question was asked in a manner of using the cast/crew window, thus it was answered as such. However, in hindsight, my instructions also bypass that window completely ( ), so for the particular choice, you are right that your option is equally valid and much faster.

That doesn't void my view of this particular request, though
