| Posted: | | | | I just added a Blu-Ray reader/writer to my PC. I can play and watch a Blu-Ray movie without problem.
However, when I want to enter the Disc ID in DVDP, it says that no disc is present. It works fine with DVDs.
I am using Windows XP SP3. Is it the source of the problem?
Thanks |

Eric | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

I know AnyDVD HD takes exclusive access of the drive, and therefor inhibits DVD Profiler to read the disc ID's. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

I also definitely need to turn off my player software in order for DVDP to access the Blu-ray and grab the info. Perhaps it has something to do with the security encoding on the discs? | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

In XP you actually need to use a program like AnyDVD HD to be able to read the disc ID at all, since it requires the UDF 2.5 filesystem. In Windows 7 this is already included. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks all,
After some research I noticed that UDF 2.5 was the issue. MS has some drivers they say correct the problem, but they did not work. Thanks for the link in the other thread as it solved the problem. |
