| Posted: | | | | I tried searching, used google too, but couldn't find anything about this: I want to make a custom report, but how do I change the sizes to centimeters or millimeters? Inches don't work for me Also, are there plans to revamp the layout tools, or is there any kind of plugin or work-around, so you can see layers or some sort, to make it easier to access stacked items easier? It's a huge pain in the rear to make or edit reports now... | | | Last edited: by imaginedbug |

Inches don't work for me Why don't inches work for you? Yes, I understand that most of the world is metric and yes it is a little strange that you can't bounce back-n-forth between inches and metric. But it is all relative. With a calculator you can go from one to the other easily. Ya, I know, easier if one can set the unit-of-measure needed. Even though both PhotoShop and Illustrator allow setting the scale, I use pixels and points respectively. It would be nice is there was a pulldown list of panels and elements that are in the area currently selected. The pulldown list would look like the current list of all panels/elements. | | | Mr Video Productions If it isn't Unix, it isn't an OS :-) |

| Posted: | | | | I didn't get a warning about your reply (blonde moment, I forgot to subscribe), but I got it working by, indeed, using Illustrator to not only get the dimensions right, but also to make a quick mock-up of where things should go.
Should I share my report layout, even if it's quite basic and tailored to the needs of my friends & family and myself (a.k.a. no HD-DVD logos included)? |

Sure, contribute the report. Others might find it useful and might use it as a building block. | | | Mr Video Productions If it isn't Unix, it isn't an OS :-) |

| Posted: | | | | I uploaded it. It's a shame the description doesn't get shown in its entirety. Now the preview looks bad as the explanation about the faint background is missing. Oh well... |

It would be nice if the web page had a Javascript hover function that when you hovered over the description, or at a minimum, clicked on a link that would bring up a dialog box showing the complete description. If there is a way to get at the complete description, without downloading the report, I do not know what it is. | | | Mr Video Productions If it isn't Unix, it isn't an OS :-) |
