Simple question, couldn't find it in the rules.
Should these subtitles go to 'English' or 'other'?

As long as we have no separate entry for SDH, it would have to be English.

Unfortunately even though there are differences in the two subtitles (English/English HOH) we can only list them as one at the moment.

What about sign language, would that qualify as "Other"? Or is sign language actually language-dependent, so that it can be ranked under English or whatever language is applicable?

I am uncertain how sign language captions would work.

It's indicated on the covers of some DVDs. I haven't actually bothered to check how it is implemented, since I am not deaf (yet).
On television, this is usually handled by a person showing sign language in a bottom corner of the screen.

I have never came across one on a DVD before... but it wouldn't surprise me if it was out there.

That would more likely-be a picture-in-picture track. I suppose you could use a subtitle track to do an outline of signing hand, but I can't imagine why you would.
