Hi!

Both Alien Boxes have an extra sheet that is covering the backside of the box as long as it is packaged in foil. This sheet includes the information, that normaly is printed on the backside of the cover. The Backside of the Alien boxes only shows an artwork (Quadrilogie) or an artwork with filmlist (Legacy).
What has to be contributed as the backside?
I'm asking, because the profile of Quadrilogie includes the extra sheet as backside, the profile of Legacy shows the "real" backside.

I believe it was agreed the Info sheet is what should be scanned and contributed.

My understanding as well...use the sheet that contains the information.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Here is two threads I found... and in both they seem to all agree with scanning the info sheet.

The private opinion of a handful of users does not override the Contribution Rules.

Contribution Rules, Cover Images:

"If a DVD is packaged in a keep case, within a slipcase of some kind, scan the Cover Images from the outer slipcase."

Then, the exception regarding reflective covers:

"If, however, the Slipcase is reflective, and the inner cover art is identical, use the Keep Case art to scan, as it will give a better quality image."

Well, if you put it down to single wording and if I remember correctly the Alien Boxsets did not come in a keep case

But since this mentioned sheets are presented covering the backside of the box (sometimes even glued to the backside of the box), I think it's correct to use them instead of a nothing saying (and maybe even artless) background...

Perhaps a slight rule change is in order then - "If the information relating to the release is not on the back but (for example) on a separate data sheet or on the underside, use that for the rear scan instead." Or something similar to that, I'm not always the best at wording things.

Exactly. This box was sold with the sheet covering it's back side. And that is good enough for me to vote "Yes" for this contribution. As I understand the rules, they don't disallow this.

That is exactly my experience, for example:

- The Matrix Trilogie (Bluray)
- X-Men Trilogy (Bluray)
- Alien Quadrilogie (DVD)

And not only boxes, but also single discs:

- The Spirit Steelbook (Bluray)
- Terminator 2 Steelbook (Bluray)
- Rock'n'Rolla Steelbook (Bluray)
- Transformers (Bluray)

The problem with your stance is that the info sheet IS on the back of the case until you remove it.  Scanning the part of the case that is under the sheet would be against the rules as you just quoted them.

I never knew you could confuse a sheet with a slipcase, amazing.

No confusion, just stating my opinion.  If you don't like it, fine, but there is no need to be an arse.

I never knew you could confuse a comma with a full stop.
