| Posted: | | | | Hello,
I want to contribute child profiles of TV Series but on many Series / Seasons the Disc ID of the first Disc is used for contribute singel profiles of the complette series boxes. The problem is now I can contribut only disc 2 ... but not the first disc.
Is there any way to contribute the first disc when the disc id is alrady used by another profile? |

So, since someone has used it to create a season profile in a complete set, it's stuck there. You can still create the disc-level profile in your local, however.
I feel this is a flaw in the program, and would really like to see a different solution found for the season level profiles in the large complete series sets. But as it stands right now, it's first-come, first-serve. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | Basically when it comes to Complete Series sets you have the choice of doing it one of 2 ways and be in line with the rules... per season using the first disc ID for that season or per Disc.
When it is done per season there is no way to get the disc level for those used for per season. And since they are in line with the rules I do not attempt to change it online. So what I do is make the rest of the discs per disc level and add them... then change the ones that are set up for per season to a disc level profile locally and keep it local... not uploading it to the main database. This way the ones that does want to have disc level only have to worry about correcting 1 disc per season locally and all other info is there to download.
Most of the time you see it the other way around... where you can't make season level profiles because the disc IDs are already used for disc level profiles. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | What would really be nice for these big sets is something like this:
Set Level (by UPC) - Season Level (by third key) --- Disc Level (by disc ID)
Unfortunately, I'm no programmer so I don't know what could be used as that third key, and I don't know that Ken wants to try to do something like this. But this is what I, personally, would like to see since it would give both the disc level profilers and the season level profilers what they want. | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |
