I did attempt a search to discover if there was any commentary on the subject already, but could not find anything (perhaps due to flexibility of phrasing). Forgive me if I'm mistaken and missed it, though.

What I speak of is this:

When I go to add releases to my wishlist, I often simply type in, say, a TV series title--then I look to see if the release of the next season has been added to the database yet.

I currently have zero interest in BluRay and so those results can be distracting--for instance, if some industrious soul has added the BD release and not the SD release.

I dug through the options to try to make sure I hadn't missed an option to "lock" this set of check boxes and found nothing, and of course it resets every time one re-opens the Add window.

Thoughts?

I know it's minor and silly, but I like the idea of being able to go straight to the kind of search I'm intending to do--I have no interest in BD whatsoever at this point, so I have no real reason to ever search through a listing that includes them (and perhaps there are some who feel the exact opposite and don't want to sift through SD ever again).

Actually, there is already that option.  To the right of 'locality' there is a drop down slot for 'media'.  Just pull down the menu and un-check whichever ones (I'm guessing HD & Blu here) you don't want displayed.  You can't lock it, tho, you have to do this every time.

Hope this helps!

There's the rub.  It's a nuisance to have to re-select each time you search.  DVDP should let you lock the media box if you want to.

Not entirely sure, Little ken. But in your title list you CAN include Media Type and that will beadde to the list and you can see exactly what the medium is for any given title, even Combos.

Thanks for the helpful response!
But, as Ken added, it cannot be locked, which is what the nuisance is.

I think an option to keep the preferred media type should be available in the next version of DVD Profiler.
