| Posted: | | | | I have two box sets that seem to have the same title: UPC 043396115279 - contains Das Boot, The Caine Mutiny, Anzio & Dead Men's Secrets UPC 043396115262 - contains The Guns of Navarone, From Here to Eternity, The Bridge on the River Kwai & Weapons at War To my eye, each appears that it should be named WWII 60th Anniversary Collection Box Set or WWII Box Set with 60th Anniversary Collection in the edition field. The online currently lists them with volume indicators (Volume 2 and Volume II, for some reason!). Do you all agree with me that it would be correct to change the title since there are no volume numbers on either set? If so, do you think the title should be the whole shebang or should the anniversary part go in the edition field? Or do you have a different idea? | | | If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -- Thorin Oakenshield |

| Posted: | | | | I personally think that 60th Anniversary Collection belongs in the edition field.
Edit: It sounds the same as something like The Criterion Collection which definitely goes into edition. | | | Last edited: by Ardos |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with Pete and Forget.
I see two discriminators between the two (1) the UPC, and (2) the physical contents are different, not to mention the colors are different, so I wouldn't be terribly concerned about everything else about the title being the same. Annoyed I might be, but not concerned.

| Posted: | | | | Man! What a dirty trick!
I took a look at these a few minutes ago at a local store.
There's no meaningful way to differentiate these--unless one wanted to put the film titles as the boxset titles, but that would run afoul of the Rules (besides making the titles run "from here to eternity.")
So I agree with the others as to the Title and Edition.
(But if these were in my collection, I'd probably append "(blue)" and "(green)" to the titles or editions locally and lock 'em down.) |
