| Posted: | | | | At times, especially on new releases, we will get multiple submissions for the same profile over a couple of days.
Most of the time, the submissions are correct, for the information that is submitted, but there will be another that may be a little more complete.
What should the guidelines, or proper actions taken concerning these?
Sometimes they are so close, that the screeners may overlook on a new approval, and overwrite what was approved the day before.
The other situation that happens, 2 or ore submissions get submitted, with identical profile data, but 2 different quality scan sets.
I know the screeners are not perfect, but we as the voting and contribution community, should have proper etiquette for our actions.

| Posted: | | | | If someone uploads a change to a field that has a pending change I vote no, especially on cast/crew. In my no vote I state that there is a pending contribution and ask if the contributor can wait until the pending contribution has been processed. I might even PM the second contributor.
The reason for this is that we can't compare the two contributions side by side.
Both contributions might be correct against the online database at the time time of submission, but the moment the first contribution is accepted, that might change. For example, the first contribution might add a correct common name that the second contribution doesn't include. If both contributions are accepted, the common name will be removed again. | | | The colour of her eyes, were the colour of insanity | | | Last edited: by reybr |

| Posted: | | | | I will vote yes to any correct additions. If there are multiple contributions, I might wait for the first one to process before I vote on the next, and so on, if I'm unsure about the changes. | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I usually reserve my "Yes"-vote for the best, or most complete contribution. I f they only differ in the quality of the scans, the contribution with the better scans gets the "Yes", the other get a "No". The reasoning for these "No"-votes usually is: "Better (or more complete) contribution by XXX is already pending. Please check for pending updates before contributing" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Please check for pending updates before contributing" I agree with Goblins, and if these users would pay more attention to what is going on...we don't need six separate contributions of the same title at one time. I will go with the most complete Contribution and/or Cover Scan and work backwards from that point. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | The comparison of multiple submissions are always hard and it's often not easy to find out which is the best one.
It would be nice to have a feature where you can not only compare the existing profile with the new one, but also can compare a pending contribution with another pending. Something like a checkbox (existing profile; pending contribution user1; pending contribution user2; ...) where you can flag which contribution you want to compare to the actual voted contribution. |

| Posted: | | | | Not a bad idea, but itwould seem the most useful IF we were also going to able to selectively vote on the components involved,

Skip Yes, the selectiveley vote on the different components in combination with a possibility of a good comparison would make it perfect. (I think the idea with a selective vote was discussed in another thread some time ago) |
