| Posted: | | | | So I got the Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut on Blu-ray today from Amazon and when I opened it, I realized that this could be considered a Box set. I figured that it was going to be just a Digipack in a slipcase with all 4 Discs in it. It's not. What it is is as follows: Slipcover with wrap around front. Digipack of 3 Disc Ultimate cut (Movie, Bonus Features, and Digital Copy) HD Keepcase of Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comics (Has Same UPC as previous release, but lacks the Digital Copy). I am leaning toward profiling it via the following method: Empty Parent Profile for SlipCover via UPC Child Profile for Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut Via Disc ID Child Profile for Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comics vis Disc ID I can also see profiling as: Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut via the Slipcover's UPC with a child profile attached for Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comics vis Disc ID Any thoughts? Adding a picture because I am not sure if my description is sufficient or not. | | | Chris | | | Last edited: by cmaeditor |

I woud use the following method: Empty Parent Profile for SlipCover via UPC Child Profile for Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut Via Disc ID Child Profile for Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comics via its cover UPC
I wouldn't use the Bonus feature film rule since this is being marketed as "The Complete Story" and not the Watchmen Movie with a Bonus Motion Comic. | | | Are you local? I agree with this, especially since the back of the box does not label it as a special feature, but rather its own entity: http://img42.imageshack.us/i/1496737bh8204259.jpg/ (Assuming that is the same back of box that is being submitted.) | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

| Posted: | | | | I still think the comic is a bonus feature. It looks like The Complete Story refers to the extended, hybrid cut of the movie(s)--note the boxset name is the same as the inner package with just the movie and the special features disc. The comic is along for the ride.
However, it looks like a boxset and quacks like one...so I wouldn't argue (further) against entering it as one. |

| Posted: | | | | Based on the image provided, I still say it is a bonus feature film. The outer case matches the inner Digipack. The complete motion comic is thrown in as an extra. A look at the back scan would be a great help here. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | Thanks Alien. The back scan just reinforces my opinion that this is not a box set. While it isn't listed as a special feature, it is listed as part of the set...the comic discs, though packaged separately, are listed as disc 3 & 4, even though disc 5 is packaged with discs 1 and 2. This is the "Watchmen: 5-disc Limited Edition" not the "Watchmen: 3-Disc Limited Edition" plus "Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic". JMHO. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. | Posted: | | | | It looks like a box set to me. The Motion Comic was sold as an independent movie. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| Posted: | | | | Since it has the UPC and all, I'd say box set containing the Motion Comic and disc 1 of the movie by disc ID. |

| Posted: | | | | I'd also enter it as a box set, since the Complete Motion Comics were released and sold seperately and are not mentioned as a "Special feature" regarding this specific release.
And I'd enter the parent profile with "The Complete Story" as edition, too. | | | Lutz |

| Posted: | | | | I would have entered it as an empty Custom set with two separate profiles attached to it. I have the DVD edition myself and would have liked to submit it as such, But I prefer to wait and see if (and how) someone else take a crack at it instead. | | | October 12th, 1985. | Posted: | | | | Myself, the title of the set "The Complete Story" leads me to believe that it's a boxset because it doesn't say "Ultimate Cut", "Extended Cut" or any such thing.
As such, it contains the movie and the entire comic (which is named "The Complete Motion Comic", thus "The Complete Story".
The two "completes" (both in the set title, and on the additional dvd) seems to make it a package deal as opposed to a bonus disc. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com
