Hi,

I saw your post yesterday but felt that someone with more expertise than I would likely respond, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Briefly:
Load the Layout you wish to modify from the View menu

Then, click on View once more, move the pointer to HTML Windows and click on Edit...

On the window that opens look at the bottom of the screen and you'll see a Tab that says Preview; click it

Now, on the left of the screen you'll see Sections that you can make changes to

Click on each Section name until the one you wish to edit is displayed

Note one of the words that you would like to change and then click the Edit tab next to the Preview tab on the bottom of the main window

Now, click on Edit at the top and then click Find; in the search box that opens type the word you noted into the  Search string box and then click Find first

When you locate what you want, replace it with what you'd like.  Repeat this as you desire.

Alternating between the Edit and Preview windows often helps to correctly identify which changes are appropriate.

When your finished making your changes just click "OK" in the lower right but your not finished quite yet.

Check to see if everything is how you like it and then either go back to editing or click Save layout from the View menu.  You may wish to modify the data in the Save Layout box that opens but make sure you end by clicking either Save or Save as.

Afterthoughts: You can rename change the Section names by right clicking and then Rename during editing.  And don't be surprised to find things that aren't used in the layout.  Chances are they're remnants of previous versions the author was working on and just neglected to delete.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.  Please point out any areas that were confusing or require clarification.

Hi,

I managed to create a "new section" named "Tags". I would like to see displayed there all TAG's info I created about the selected Film, but I didn't manage to find the related TAG field in "insert Profile..."

Any help?

Thanks.

Hi

I couldn't locate the "insert Profile..." text so I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to accomplish but perhaps this will help.

One of the default Profiler windows is "Set Tags".  This window shows a list of all the Tags which have been created.  If the current Profile has any of these Tags set for it a check mark will show up in the little box associated with that Tag.

Incidentally, when I started using Profiler I didn't understand how Tags were used.  When I discovered that I could create a Tag and then by simply checking or unchecking a Tag in the "Set Tag" window no other action was required to save that information.  I just have to be careful not to check a Tag that I don't want associated with the displayed Profile.

As an example: I've created a Tag called "James Bond".  Whenever I add a James Bond film I set that Tag in the "Set Tags"window.  Now if I click the Tags tab in the "Filters" window and then click on the "James Bond" Tag the only titles displayed in the Collection list are James Bond films.

Hope this helps.

I use these features. What I want is to have a "window" where the specific tags of a certain film is shown as I classify films using tags and want to see these tags I've already set as we see cast, crew etc.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Okay, I understand.  I noted the "Insert Profile.." text and the associated reference to a "Profile Tag Attribute" in the new HTML window creation section.

I couldn't do anything with it however.  Perhaps someone who's figured how to use this will help.  I don't recall seeing a layout in which just the tags related to an individual profile were displayed.

Hope someone can help you out, or at least, explain the references to Tags in the Profile Section editor.
