| Posted: | | | | If a Series list each episode and all the Cast Credits is the same for all seven episodes but there’s changes in Crew Credits per Episode, do I…
1. List Cast Credits per Episode (even though they the same) + Crew per Episodes 2. List Cast Credits only 1 but list Crew per Episodes 3. List Cast once + group Crew together under each heading sorting changes as per Episode (see example)
Example of Crew: Episode 1 – Director = X, Episode 2 – Director = Y, Episode 3 – Director = A then list as Director: X, Y, A
Personally, I prefer No 1, 2 looks lopsided & 3 just a mess BUT what is the standard? |

| Posted: | | | | I believe the answer is straightforward. From the rules: "Complete Series/Season & Anthologies of Episodes: Enter Cast and Crew for each episode using standard rules, and insert dividers to separate each episode's credit list from the others. Do not list Cast and Crew outside of the dividers even if they are credited in all episodes." Sounds like Option No.1 to me. |

| Posted: | | | | The standard is No. 1 - listing cast/crew for each episode with dividers for each episode, even when cast is the same per episode. For an example of just this variety, see UPC 014381403022 ( Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe: Collection 2). Exactly the same as the situation you describe - same cast each episode, variations in crew. | Posted: | | | | I also believe the standard is option 1. I see some people list the principal cast on top, and use dividers for guest appearances, but I think this is a local only option. Keep on rockin'... | | | Berak

| Posted: | | | | HERE is the last time this question came up.... and I will quote here what I said in that thread... Quoting Addicted2DVD: Quote: The Rules tells us to list cast and crew for each episode and not to list any outside dividers... and does not give any exception to this.
Rules Quote:
Quote: Complete Series/Season & Anthologies of Episodes:
Enter Cast and Crew for each episode using standard rules, and insert dividers to separate each episode's credit list from the others. Do not list Cast and Crew outside of the dividers even if they are credited in all episodes.
Enter the episode number and title in the divider that marks the beginning of that episode's credit list. The divider should be formatted as "1. Episode Title", or "Episode 1" if no title is available.
Take the episode title from the episode itself, or from elsewhere on the DVD or DVD packaging, exactly as shown. If all episode titles are entirely capitalized, use standard capitalization rules instead. If the episodes are listed with quotes around each title, exclude the quotes.
If the DVD or DVD packaging specifically numbers the episodes, use that number in the divider. Otherwise, episodes are to be numbered sequentially in the order that they appear on the DVD(s) in the set, with the number sequence carrying over from disc to disc. Do not number non-episodic features such as movies or alternate cuts unless they are given specific numbers on the DVD or DVD packaging.
See the parts I put in bold. So with that line there... I always put a divider for each episode. (with number and title as per Rules) Whether they are all the same or not. And I vote no to anything else since it is indeed in the rules. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Correctly, as pointed out, it is Option 1, though I have seen Option 2 used and do not particularly object as the meaning seems clear. FWIW the example I see most often that uses Option 2 is the Doctor Who classic series discs (though in this case it's a changing cast and identical crew). Because each season was made up of (say) 6 stories but each story was split over multiple episodes it means each story (which is an individual DVD release) will have the same crew as essentially it is 'shot' as one long episode BUT where it is actually split into smaller episodes the cast will change as new characters are introduced and/or die off. PS. Well done, Pete - I only recently made one star but that was surprise enough | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |
