When are new contributions considered?
- Specific day of the week?
- Days after submission?
- Weekends vs workdays?

Any difference between profile vs cover scan submissions?

Is there a committee that decides, or is it a one person / "one of" thing?

Does the voting matter?

If a contribution is booted, do you get PM before, during, after the decision process?

I've read the contribution FAQ, and don't confess to understand it all yet. The releasing companies don't always make it easy for you to get the information right. If you get nailed for getting something wrong or omitting a piece of information is there a waiting period before you can try again?

Who is Skip, and what are the rules for not pissing him off?

If it's a brand new entry, they'll generally be processed within a few hours and either approved or declined accordingly.

If it's an update to an existing entry then it depends on how busy Invelos is. It generally varies between 2 days and 5 days but I've seen up to a week during exceptionally busy times.

None.

There are several screeners (or so we think). Most of the time one person will process an entry but at times, it'll be elevated to a higher person to look at. In those cases it can take longer to process.

If the voting notes are valid they'll be considered. If you've got 20 "Yes" and 1 "No" vote and that's valid, it can be enough to decline a contribution.

No.

I've never had one. If it's wrong & declined you can resubmit straight away. Of course, if someone repeatedly contributed bad information deliberately, I'm sure that Invelos could put some kind of contribution block on.

A contribution for a profile that does not exist yet is processed within a day.

A contribution for a profile that already exists is up for voting 3-7 days (depending on the workload of the screeners).

No difference between image and profile.

There's more than one screener but I think only one screener decides about one contribution.

Voting does matter as it gives both the contributor as well as the screener a feedback about the quality of the contribution. However there's no correlation between the number of yes/no votes and the final decision of the screener.

You will not receive PMs from the screeners during the process. You might get some hints from one of the voters.

Personal opinion:

The only way to make sure to not pissing Skip off is either not contributing and not voting or not owing the same DVDs he does. Everything else is "risky". But don't be irritated, there are some feuds here in the forum and as long as you don't try to get in the middle of it, you're relatively safe. He never jumps on anyone "just because", he's just a bit choleric if you ask me.

At the moment, it looks to be at least 7 days.

But there is a difference if you submit a profile with a birth year not in the list of Invelos approved birth years. Sometimes those are processed within a day, other times it takes more than two weeks

Just contribute what you feel comfortable contributing.  If a contribution gets declined make the corrections an recontribute, usually you will have voters indicating the issue.  If you get No votes or PMs from members letting you know what you did wrong you can correct it and resubmit before it get's declined.

And Ken has confirmed that the screeners are actual people, not bots as I had suspected.  So there is a possibility of human error in there.
