| Posted: | | | | Hi. I have Collectorz Movie Collector and would like to buy DVD Profiler. But, can I import my database from Movie Collector? It's quite large and wouldn't want to manually add to DVD Profiler.
Thank you. Joey |

| Posted: | | | | The next version of DVDP (currently in beta) has an option to import a list of UPC Codes from a text file.
You'll be able to access the current beta after buying a registration for DVDP. | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

Thank you. Joey Do you own dvd's from only one country, or do you have a collection with imports from other countries? As Agrare mentioned, you can use the upc import plugin, but you have to add a number for the various localities (or countries). If you want some help with this, you can always send me a pm. |

| Posted: | | | | The BulkEdit plugin is best suited for importing from Collectorz. Some specific instructions are somewhere halfway this page. Good luck, Joey! | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | If you decide to try BulkEdit, let me know of any issues. I haven't looked at the output of the latest version of CollectorZ. The difference between BulkEdit and importing from a list of UPCs is that BulkEdit attempts to preserve your personal information such as collection membership, purchase info, custom genres, reviews, notes and custom box set configurations. Also, there is a "smart UPC" recognition that attenpts to add the DVD Profiler "locaility" information automatically. This vastly cuts down on the number of errors that you get from UPC-only import if you have lots on non-US released DVDs. Any way you do it, will require a "refresh" from the Invelos database. There is no attempt by BulkEdit to import DVD metadata, as the best version of this information comes directly from Invelos, which would overwrite the imported data anyway. Again, the main feature of the BulkEdit import is to automatically bring over as much of your personal info as possible. If you have little or no personal data, and mostly US-released DVDs, it would be easiest to use the UPC import. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

| Posted: | | | | Wow! Thank you for the feedback. I will try out DVD Profiler 3.5. Most, if not all, my movies are US region 1 movies.
I will report shortly.
Again, Thank you.
PS- I will first try the BulkEdit plugin. |

| Posted: | | | | Go to the top, click Downloads -> Plugins. It's the BulkEdit plugin. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |
