| Posted: | | | | I’m sure there are ways to do this but searching the database hasn’t helped me. I looked for a plug-in but I don’t know if there is one that will help or which one that is. Sooo… I cut and pasted the data from the same TV show I am updating. The episodes crew/cast data is correct but incomplete and I want to add the missing data. When I try to do so the information goes to the last episode and not to any of the previous ones. Is there a way that I can enter new data without having to erase all the other episodes? |

| Posted: | | | | Only indirectly, AFAIK. Since it's a TV show, I assume there are dividers for each episode. If you right-click on a divider, you can copy the cast for just that section and paste it (append at the end). You can then click on the divider and while keeping the mouse pressed move it up the total cast list until it sits where it should be. Next, delete the original divider with the incomplete cast below it.
EDIT: on second reading, I think I misread your question. I now understand you copied the lists but want to add individual credits to them. Just enter them, left-click on your entry and hold (keep the left mouse button pressed), and move it up until it sits where it should be.
Hope this helps! | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

This is a lot faster as adding it to the end and then draging it to the desired position. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Also check out Tom Gaines's TV cast and crew project over here. Using his cinematic collection viewer, you can download 100's of complete cast and crew updates for various tvshows. You can copy those from within the plugin, and paste them in DVD Profiler. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

This is a lot faster as adding it to the end and then draging it to the desired position. I've been doing this for a while and the only problem I have encountered is in the Cast section. I find if I drag/drop to insert cast it causes a fault when I try to do the same in Crew (the crew lists jump up and down and you can't add anything). I have to save what I've done on the cast and then go back in to do the crew. |

This is a lot faster as adding it to the end and then draging it to the desired position. I really wished I had tried this or knew of it before editing all those Tales from the Crypt season sets. That 'drag up and drop in place' took forever. |

| Posted: | | | | Yep, it's an amazing trick. I only discovered this in one of the other posts not too long ago. I know the feeling bigdaddyhorse. Before I learned this trick, I was often copying the cast and crew to notepad, and cut and paste there.
