| Posted: | | | | So I found more questions today. On Hellraiser 3 there are some funky wordings that I'm unsure of, so here we go.
Digital Sound Design Creative Sound Design
These come with one credit for Digital and 3 for Creative. All are known sound people who have other sound credits in my local. If not for the first words they'd be no question.
Next is "Post Sound Supervisors" 2 names, even more existing credits in my local. I know Sound Supervisor gets a credit, not sure about the Post.
I'm keeping them all local with custom titles for now, what does everyone think about giving them real credits? |

| Posted: | | | | I usually leave these types of credits out. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Are there other sound credits? If not, of course "Creative Sound Design" and "Digital Sound Design" speaks for itself, so it should be entered as "Sound Design". What else?
The "Post Sound Supervisor" is a strange credit but if there is no "Supervising Sound Editor" it is very likely that this profession is meant to be that. Otherwise leave it out. | | | Last edited: by schaumi |

The only other sound credits we accept that were there: Production Sound Mixer 2 Re-recording Mixers and the usual string of assistant and effects editors we don't accept (none acceptable here either) These weird wordings were right in the middle of all the others. | | | Last edited: by bigdaddyhorse |

| Posted: | | | | The Production Sound Mixer works much earlier on the film set while shooting. The Re-Recording Mixers come at last to work on the stuff the sound editors / sound designers deliver. So therefore I would accept "Creative Sound Design" and "Digital Sound Design" as Sound Designers and the "Post Sound Supervisor" as "Supervising Sound Editor". (But of course it seems not to be according to the Profiler rules .) |

| Posted: | | | | I agree with schaumi that these jobs "seem" to be the FE (functional equivalent) of the jobs in profiler, but the crew table in the rules does not support their inclusion. I know I have erroneously entered the credit of Sound Design and Supervision as Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor, when according to the table, the Sound Supervision portion of the credit should only result in the generic Sound profiler credit. Yes, the table needs work. | | | Kevin | | | Last edited: by antolod |

| Posted: | | | | And as I keep saying, as lon asc we continue to use the table we ALWAYS run into these kind of issues. The only answer is Open creds, even Seemi-Open presents problems as then we will be arguing over what is Sound, or Art or whatever. The only way to end thsi once and for all is to Open them up,

Skip Or just have something where voters can choose to get local roles in their updates if they want them, like the check box for uncredited or birth years. Of course that's just me, I'm sure not everyone uses the custom roles for things so close yet still not within the rules. I have plenty FE's documented and ready to submit if and when the rule wordings change, mostly for effects and make-up effects but ever growing into the sound field. |

| Posted: | | | | Bigdaddy: I still think the answer is ONLY completely open credits, WITH the ability for each of us to decide EXACTLY which data we want to apply to our local. If you want to do the entire list, fine, if I don't want to download the full list I should be select that data that interests me. Some of us want to be able to add Set Decoration or even Sound Effects. We have seen the problems that get created when we try and shoehorn too many different types of data into one area, Visual Effects. The data in the Online is absolutely meaningless; IF somebody such as myself thinks enough of the Community to include a list of ACTUAL credits where they differ from our Generics, at least that way users can Copy & Paste the data for their own use to provide some ACTUAL definition to what the generic roles are. Butthe best answer is go Open and just type what we see...no more arguments, which for me would be a BIG Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here
