a box is not a case that contains a digipack.

Umm.. actually it is, a "Box" can contain any type of case inside it like Slip Case or Slip Cover but it does not have a permanent opening like these case types do it usually has a closing flap or lid (Chocolate Box type) which has to be opened to access the case/cases inside.

Digibook added to Case Types, let me know if everything is correct.

How exactally are we determining a Digibook and book type packing using a digipack to hold the disc.  Or any book type packaging that is holding a disc in any kind of fashion?

So far I only know to different types of Digibooks:

The USA ones like 300-The complete Experience  or Falling Down

and

The german Ones like The Boondock Saints or The Fall

The difference between those two is mainly the size, the german ones are a bit bigger.

If anyone know different kinds, please let me know.

Currently Fox US has large coffee table books that use a center plastic hub the size of the hole on the disc to hold the move.

Also Studio Canal has their books that hold the disc in paper holder.

The reason I ask is currently there is a contribution changing the Planet of Apes collection on Blu-ray from Custom to Digibook.  Before I vote I wanted to make sure this is a correct change.

I just ordered the Apes set; isn't the book removable from the packaging?

That is NOT a Digibook, the discs are not inside the book, like HTWWW , Bonnie & Clyde or others.  It is a CUSTOM case. Ace is wrong AGAIN

Poor Ace. He hasn't posted in this thread in almost a year, and somehow he managed to be wrong again.

I have to agree with Prof. Dr. Dr. Kings of Fields here.

For me both examples are merely Digipacks with a quite exclusive booklet.

Clarification is definitely needed, though.

I would say for it to be a DigiBook the disc's themselves would have to be stored within the book
