| Posted: | | | | I'd like to see "Special Photographic Effects" allowed in the rules for Visual Effects. I'm seeing this credit in older films as the only special or visual effects credit. | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | I agree...special effects are special effects. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | When that is the only credit along the effects line, I go ahead and use it. Mainly in those older films. As far as I'm concerned, that's what the credit is for, even if they didn't properly capture all the role permutations in the rules. | | | Last edited: by mdnitoil |

| Posted: | | | | I would probably do the same thing. As I said, special effects, even photographic ones, are still special effects. It would be nice, however, to have the rules indicate that variations with an added word are valid. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. | Posted: | | | | I can go along with this with ONE proviso, this can and should apply to other Crew data as well. We are already watering down the data to the point where it has little or no significance or value. We now have the ability to define more accurately what the data actually represents, be it Special Effects being applied to Visuals or even defining the Make-Up Artists or anyone else, those of you who have seen my notes know that I do this already. But to just add something else to the crew roles, without definition, is of little value to anyone. What is that strange Visual Effects Credit, what did he really do...with the lone exception of myself and a few other far-sighted users...we simply don't know.
