| Posted: | | | | Four Yes votes and no comments saying the images were improper. The current front (seen above) image is missing 10% of the cover (the right edge is not supposed to be flush with the lettering) and my submission image corrects this. I don't understand how anybody could honesty say that the current image is better. What am I missing? | | | One man's rip-off is another man's homage. |

| Posted: | | | | The link you attached to the image is not working. I don't see anything wrong with the images currently in the database, although what you say about cropping on the right side is probably correct.
Without access to the images you contributed, we can just guess what was wrong.
Sometimes scanning can alter the colors so it deviates from the original. If the covers in the database have a closer color match, that could be a reason. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

| Posted: | | | | Well, I resubmitted the images by themselves. I took the opportunity to do some slight color corrections, but the overall contrast, detail and resolution are the same. With no comments to go on, it seems odd that the reviewer would make a judgment call on the color correctness unless he actually had a hardcopy of the title in hand. It was a little frustrating not to have any constructive feedback: I had to guess why the original submission was rejected. It would've been nice if there had been some reviewer comments available – I understand, though, that this was an unusual case since typically a Declined submission will have voter comments attached to it. | Posted: | | | | Mistakes happen. Things I've done have been rejected before and then accepted when I re-submitted. If it was deliberate then all I can think of is that your initial notes weren't that specific - only mentioning cropping. Your new notes are much more detailed and you should have no problems.
PS. The images you've put up are directly linked to your contribution so only those people who can vote on your contribution anyway can see them here. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks, Northbloke. I was very specific this time around, since I'm guessing that the reviewer only looked at the image quality (which at first glance is comparable) and not the image content. An image-only vote should seal the deal. Here are the covers on Photobucket | | | One man's rip-off is another man's homage. | | | Last edited: by To'yL |
