The reason, it’s already allocated to the same series (& locality) but different Box Set as Volume 14.
Now I have checked and although the Disc Ids are the same, the contents on the disc(s) are different... Features: Gallery\DVD-Rom\Bios, Audio & Running Times
& Cover\Edition differences are Production\Release Dates, Covers & Overviews & Packaging
Therefore, for all intend & purposes they are different bar Disc Id’s…
Now can’t we for Mega Box Sets where..:
1. No Barcodes on individual Box Groupings (sets within a Mega Box Set) 2. Disc Id’s that might be same as other Disc Id’s with in the same Series\locality
…Do the following?
Use the Parent Barcode say 6932851856241 & the number of Box groupings (sets) is 25 have it as:
693285185624101, 693285185624102, 693285185624120… But these generated Barcodes must be listed in the Parent Profile as Child disc(s) so when contributing one must 1st generate the Parent Profile with intended Child disc Numbers & detailing in notes.
I know the easy part is to say just keep it local but DVDP isn’t just a local application… if you look at the online db the Mega Set will have all but Set 03 Disc 5\6 will have incorrect data as Volume 14. |

There's nothing you can do about it (contribution-wise). | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | If I am not mistaken that would be beyond the capabilities of the program... and wouldn't let you submit such fake UPC/EAN since version 3.0. And even if I am wrong this would be against the rules... as the rules say... Quote: When contributing a title by UPC, make sure the UPC is entered in this format. Do not contribute titles with "made up" or otherwise inaccurate UPCs. If a title does not have a UPC, then add the title by Disc ID, using your DVD-ROM drive. So the way I see it... at least until Ken comes up with a solution for this... it would have to be a local only thing. Like many I have in my collection (mostly re-releases that are very different then original). | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Well I hope Ken will find a workaround for this… I suppose I can get around this by adding it to the on-line db by linking it to the SA Locality instead of UK, but will I be breaking the rules… the item was imported from amazon.uk via a local on-line supplier? | | | Last edited: by mlr |

Contribute the mega-set. then re-allocate it to your other set. Then either leave a note in your own DB that disc x is in box set y, or create a manual profile for your own use too include in the mega-set. Just a thought. Steve |

| Posted: | | | | a work around is to change the locality of one of the conflicting discs.... | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
