| Posted: | | | | I am new to BD and have noticed the the automated BD banner only appears on cover images if the slipcover option is not ticked.
I would like this to be a choice.
I just bought Hancock which has a slip cover - but the cover ONLY goes up to the BD banner, not over it. Therefore in my collection the cover displays without the banner. Currently the only way for it to display correctly is to uncheck the slip cover option.
I would like it if another tickbox could be introduced to choose whether to display the banner. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree. My first BD has the banner attached to the on-line image. if slipcover is uncheck it shows a double banner. Since I don't display my disc with slip covers I always uncheck this option.
I too would like the option to display the blu ray banner especially since the on-line images have the banner attached. |

I would like it if another tickbox could be introduced to choose whether to display the banner. I just bought From Russia with Love & Goldfinger Both have a slip cover - From Russia with Love has the auto banner while Goldfinger does not. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm new to the DVD Profiler Software as well. I have a few blu-ray discs. When I view my collection on my own computer, the cover scan shows up with an indication that it's a blu-ray, but when I print out a report or view the collection online, the image shows up with just a regular cover. I'm not familiar with the term 'slip cover' but I have experiemented with this. In one instance when I unchecked the slip cover box, the DVD Profiler Software prompted me to upload this new profile to share. |

| Posted: | | | | @ cb2367: It sounds like you're mixing up two things: the Blu-Ray banner and slip covers. Slip covers are a different animal altogether - it refers to a type of packaging. Please check out this thread for an explanation (with pictures) of what a slip cover is. It happens quite often that when a DVD is first released it comes with a slip cover, and a subsequent re-release only has a keepcase without slip cover. In such cases the central database contains the information (and cover scans) for the original release (with slip cover), not the re-release. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Making the blu-ray banner optional will also solve the problem with The Criterion Collection's new HD keep cases which don't have a banner (they are like smaller dvd keep cases in clear plastic as seen here) | | | Last edited: by rasmusriis |

This is happening because the Blu-ray banner is being added by the program for display purposes only. It is not part of the image. Because of that, when viewed on-line or in a report, the banner is not included. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
