| | Posted: | | | | Many Fox Blu-ray releases have a "French" subtitle track that is not accessible from the disc menu, though it can be accessed from the player menu. The reason is that these are not dialogue subtitles, but rather "narrative" subtitles (e.g., they may introduce a scene with a location or date) or translations of on-screen text that are meant to be used in concert with the French audio track.
