| Posted: | | | | I've just noticed that the rules do not allow us to contribute Cast from Special Features. I have two question in that matter:
1. Can a Cast (from a Special Feature) be added if it's a TV series/Season? The rules are not clear as to what it can be applied to (Movie or a TV series). 2. Kinda the same question, but with a twist - Can this cast still be added to a child profile (in a Special Feature divider) ?
Thanks, Lior | | | October 12th, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York. |

| Posted: | | | | For submission purposes the Rules don't specify TV/Film so by definition it applies to both and to child profiles. So No to Special Features. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! | | | Last edited: by tweeter |

| Posted: | | | | No special features cast for anything Since it is in the standard rules... without any exception for TV Series or child profiles. As the standard Rules also say... Quote: These rules apply to all kinds of profiles, but there are two special cases where the rules need clarifications. Where you see the icons shown below, refer to the special instructions at the end of this document. These are titled Movie Box sets and TV Series on DVD. Box sets containing more than one film TV Series on DVD
Note: The standard rules do apply for these special cases; the sections clarify specific ways the rules apply to box sets and television series on DVD. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

Not sure what you have in mind here. I will try to explain my take on it. Re: Special Features in general I would say No, for NOW. Largely because we can't adequately define the Special Features, so Cast and Crew data for such would be rather useless or so it seems to me. When and if the day comes when we can provide detail about Special Features, then I'll say maybe, though I will say personally, I don't think I have any interest in that level of detail for any given TV show or film.
I think it is important that we are able to say for example:
Featurette: Dirty Harry's Way Featurette: Dirty Harry: The Original
But beyond that....it could get ugly quickly it seems, since there are many titles which have a plethora of such things each one with its own set of credits.

| Posted: | | | | There is one exception I personally make... and it is Local Only. That is when a TV Series has an episode from another season or another show. I will put cast for that... but not for contribution purposes. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I was going to say, localy you can do like imdb and give the features/featurettes their own profiles, including cast and crew lists. If someone is in a feature and not the movie you want to catalog, I'd say just use the personal notes section, or use dividers with the main cast locally. |

Though I've been tempted to contribute the bonus episode if it's from the same show but from a different season and it's shown in the menus with the rest of the episodes. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? That should be perfectly allowable under the rules. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |
