| | Posted: | | | | In truth you'd be better purchasing dvds online, with the current weak pound against the euro there are some incredible bargains at the likes of play, amazon and hmv, and I highly doubt you will better them by visiting a London store.
The large supermarkets (asda,tesco) etc are as likely to have good deals available. | | |  |

| | Posted: | | | | Unfortunately Zavvi became a victim of the credit crunch, so there's pretty much only HMV left.  I remember there being one on Piccadilly Circus, but I have the feeling that was a Zavvi too. And I have vague memories of a few second hand ones around Camden and Notting Hill - but that was many years ago, though they're the sort of areas that would have plenty of those kind of shops. |

The question is if the same DVD you can get online will be more expensive in the store? On the other hand, movie stores always have some good bargains, so worth a try. For single title releases I've often found titles around £8-£10 cheaper than my local HMV. Box sets I've seen well over a hundred pounds cheaper online. Again using HMV, I saw a complete series box set going for around £225 but online found it for less than £82. | | Posted: | | | | Back from my holiday.. Well, I mainly shopped all my movies (30 dvds or something) from HMV at Westfield. They had great bargains and I bought movies which had a price tag that said either £2, £3, £4 or £5. This is very cheap compared to dvd prices (bargains) in Norway. I also got the Rocky box set, Godfather box set (with one extra dvd with bonus materials) and the Die Hard quadriology box set for £15 each.
