Someone added this title, but the UPC code does not match up to mine, and they have it as a Single Layer DVD,and without high quality Scans,I tried to add it and it was shot down very fast, saying what was my source, well my source is my retail in my hand, and this movie is a Dual Layer NOT Single Layer.

Oh Well,at least I have the correct info on my end.

1 more thing, under "my profiler" when I click on contributions,is there a way to clear that all out?

When you contribute a change to an existing profile you must give sources for the changes, for the change from Single- to Dual-Layer that might be a "verified with Nero Info Tool" or any other tool that provides the needed data.
Another MUST for the contribution notes is the reason for the change, so in case of the incorrect existing scans you should have written something like "corrected scans with correct UPC. Source for this change: Own DVD"

There's no way to manually clear out your contribution record, entries are deleted automatically after 30 days.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

If you command extraction of Disc Info with DVDp doesn't it capture the Dual/Single layer status for DVDs?  I know it does for HD & BD discs.  No external tool required.

I found this to be iffy at best. There has been times when the DL checkbox was checked automatically... but also times when it hasn't automatically been checked but when I would double check the info it was actually a DL disc.

I've only really dealt with it when i was adding/updating Disc IDs for my HD and Blu-ray discs.  I was double checking the program's layer selection and found it to be accurate.

I haven't used it as much for DVDs and was given confidence by how it handled HD/BD.  Wouldn't hurt to double check it occasionally i suppose.

Titles are released all the time with differing UPC codes. If your UPC is not in the database (although your "title" is), you need to submit a new profile.

So far the "auto" DL/SL option of dvdp has worked fine for me. Double checked every single disc i've submitted and the program was always accurate in determining DL or SL.
I can resist everything but temptation.
