This is different than anything I've encountered yet, so here it is.

I was looking over The Return of Spinal Tap (823867-465344) and in the end cast credits there is a lone credit for The Folksmen. Now watching this it is clear as day to me that it's teh same 3 actors from Spinal Tap, in different make-up and a different joke.
Then in crew credits a lady gets a credit for (I'll go to the next line to leave everything as is on screen):
"Folksmen" make-up by:

So I submitted the profile with the actors, credited as "Folksmen". Now I'm second guessing myself since there was a lone faux band name credit I'm replacing with 3 names, which aren't credited for being this but obvilously are it.
What is the proper way to deal with this situation? Credited as? Uncredited? Return back to how it was since it's written that way?

Generally, I see no reason why it can't be credited just like any other "group" credit, as you've done:

Michael (credited as The Folksmen)
Harry (credited as The Folksmen)
Chris (credited as The Folksmen)

Although really, to be able to tell for certain we need to know the exact wording on the screen. I don't have The Return of... so can't check myself.

Here's a couple screens so you can all see exactly how it is worded/credited. First is the cast part with The Folksmen:

Second is the make-up, and the quotes which basicly say, not a real person/band. Due to this I gave her a "Make-up effects" credit. I think/feel that is the proper credit for turning someone into someone else, but if it should just be make-up let me know and I'll correct it. It's been submitted, but will probably be tweaked to reflect the results of this thread.

I'm leaning more toward credited as now, but we'll see what the masses have to say.

OK, looking at that screen grab, I think I'd still go for my first option:

Michael (credited as The Folksmen)
Harry (credited as The Folksmen)
Chris (credited as The Folksmen)

I personally probably wouldn't add a role, but if you wanted to add the role "Themselves" (as it currently has) I wouldn't vote no on a decision like that.

But I have to admit I think the way you have it now is wrong - I really think you have to use "credited as" to show they haven't used their real names. I think your current submission gives the wrong impression as to what's in the end credits.
The suggestion above still isn't ideal (it would be very nice if Ken gave us group credit ability) as you end up with the credit listed 3 times, but I think it's closer to what is there.

As for the makeup/makeup fx - I think there's a lot of cross-over with these credits, as with special effects - so I think as long as you explain why you've chosen a certain one either is fine.

Changed to the credited as with extended notes for the screeners.
So far no votes at all. Either no one else has this disc or everyone is baffled and going neutral. Probably the former, it was scarce and hard to find. I wouldn't have it except a friend hooked me up, I have no idea where he got it.

It doesn't show up for me this time around. Did you withdraw it? Or is it already approved?

I thought I submitted it, but may've forgot to click submit after going and finding links. I know I had written out notes but the page is gone.
I'll put it back up soon.
