| Posted: | | | | How do I make a duplicate of an existing layout?
My current custom layout is/was named "kurt-1". I made some changes, but it ran into my mind, that it would be a good idea to save a copy of the orignal file, so I discarded the changes.
In the folder \username\documents\DVD Profiler\Layouts I made a file copy of "kurt-1.dpl" and renamed them into "kurt-H.dpl" and "kurt-V.dpl".
I opened DVD Profiler and had a big surprize: Clicking "View" > "Load layout ..." there were to instances of "kurt-1" (+ the standard layouts), but the newly named "kurt-H" and "kurt-V" were not available!
Editing and saving the automaticly loaded copy of "kurt-1" also affected the second copy.
How can DVD Profiler load the old layout? The file with that name does'nt exist anymore. And how do I load one of the to new files? |

Load your require layout you wish to amend, make the required changes then under the "View" menu click on "Save Layout..." then give your newly adjusted layout a NEW NAME ie a "Save As". Steve |

| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I think it's likely that the saved layouts are there.
When you attempt to load a layout the names below the thumbnails are not the file names but the name which you gave to the layout when you initially filled in the information block prior to first saving.
Check to see if you have 3 layouts with "kurt-1" displayed beneath each thumbnail.
Also, snarbo's recommendation is correct. |
