Do these exclusive sets ever get upped,I am thinking about getting this version but I see it is not available in the database, but the regular version is,I am sure all the DVD's are the same but it comes with some cool exclusive stuff and the back and front cover images are different, along with the UPC code.

I see the Best Buy bonus DVD's for Planet Terror and Death Proof are here, but the RZ's Halloween Circuit City Bonus DVD is not,it must just be a hit or miss with the exclusive stuff.

I guess if I get the BSG Season 4 Best Buy set I could just modify the one that is already here, but not sure if I can scan the box.

Well, there's a couple of answers for you...one is that sometimes the UPC on the exclusive sets are the same as the basic versions so which ever one gets entered in first, gets to use that profile.  If that's the case, you can try to enter it by disc id.

The other is that sometimes the exclusive set isn't neccessarily bought by anyone here to be entered.  For example, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one (or one of the few) here that has the Borders exclusive Waitress.  It didn't get entered into the system until I bought it several months after the release date.

So, if you have an exclusive set that isn't entered and the UPC is unique, please help out the database...it is user built, after all.    As for scans...well, if you just don't have a good scanner, anything is better than nothing.  If it's the shape of the box, you can try taking a photo of it; there are several profiles that have done that.  Or if you don't have either option available, if there is a scan from Best Buy's website, as long as it is NOT copyrighted, you can use that as an entry level scan and then when you (or someone else with that profile) has the ability/time, it can be added at that point.

OK I got the images, hires front and back, and the UPC code is different, this one is UPC 025192012341,and the Limited Edition Gift Set includes:
Collectible Starbuck Dog Tags (chain not included)
Exclusive Character Profile Book

other than that all is identical to the regular version.

here are the images if you want to see them:

I just collapsed the box to scan,so no problem scanning after all.

So would I now add the other set(regular version) to my collection and then change the UPC,Cover Images, and add the gifts and thats it?

I also see that someone already has each of the season 4 disc added, how would I attach those to this set to,seeing how all those are identical to this as well, the only artwork difference is the main box.

No, if a store exclusive set (from a single store/chain) has the same UPC as the regular set, the regular set gets the privilege to be entered by UPC.

On the other hand: if two different versions with the same UPC are released by the distributor for all stores (e.g. multiple covers), then the first one entered will stay in the database.

Sorry I have forgotten four words in the last sentence of my previous post. Here they are: at the same time

If two releases with the same UPC are made at different times by the distributor, the earlier one wins.

Yes, it sounds like you can download the regular version, then change the UPC, cover image, add the special features, and change any disc IDs and SRP, then contribute the new UPC. Regarding the individual disc profiles, before you contribute the main new UPC, you can add the individual profiles to your collection. If you don't want DVDProfiler to count the child profiles as separate collection numbers, then be sure set the collection number to "none" in the personalization screen for each profile. Then in the main set's profile, go to edit the profile, then go to "Box Set Contents" and select each of those profiles to attach them to your main box set.  Be sure to change disc IDs if they differ from the ones in your exclusive edition, then when you contribute the new main UPC, the attached box set contents will be part of that profile.
