looking the same for me.

Yup, same here (XP, German). Hadn't even noticed it before. Might it be a "." vs. "," issue, e.g. 2.35:1->2,35:1?

You are right. I'm from France so under Regional Settings of Windows, my decimal symbol is "," and if I change the aspect ratio "2.35:1" on DVD Profiler to "2,35:1", the icon change right.

It is basically working for me, except, but maybe that just doesn't happen, I would expect unticking Anamorphic to change the image to 1.33:1 with a blue widescreen stripe inside... But as long as a ratio other than 1.33:1 is entered, the main image is 1.78:1.

Hope I am making some sort of sense...

Same here (in Norway): No matter which language I choose (US English, Norwegian, UK English, etc.) the widescreen symbol is the same: 1.78:1, including movies which are 2.35:1. If I edit the profile to say 2,35:1 I get the correct aspect ratio. (When editing SRPs I by default use a comma and not a point, i.e. 19,99 not 19.99.)

FYI the ratio thing is fixed for 3.0.2.  Now, on to the tip:

Some of you may already know that the wishlist and spotlight displays on the Welcome screen can be scrolled.  Hover the mouse over them and spin the wheel to scroll through upcoming and spotlighted profiles.  However, did you know you can right-click on a title to do a RottenTomatoes.com search by title for the clicked profile?  It's a great sanity check when deciding what to buy!

While we're on the subject of browsers, hold CTRL when clicking a link in DVD Profiler to launch a new browser instead of using an open one.

I just realized you can customize the right-click menu.  [shivers]

Ken, it's still present on the welcome page, though.

Okay, this is nothing really important, but would be grateful for a helpful tip or trick...

On the "Edit profile"-window, "General information"-tab:
Is there any keyboard shortcut to enter "Regions:"-information? I have tried and tried, but cannot enter the region without using the mouse. Is there any way to put a tick to selected region and move (with Tab) forward to next info to fill?

I really like the fact that when you are entering DVD's not only can you flag a bunch first, if you enter them by title. But when they are in the 'Pending Additions' list you can right click on them and go back and re-enter the personalized screen again. Very nice touch Ken.

Very nice!  I found that one a couple days ago.  I'm not even sure why I tried, but it worked as expected.

The little graphic display will also show you what black bars you will be expecting from your widescreen TV. (nice touch).

Very nice, but is there any way to make it show relative to a 4:3 display instead of a widescreen one?

Here's a tip you can use when searching for photos of someone's face.  Use the images search option of Google to find someone. When the first page of results has loaded, add "&imgtype=face" to the URL in your browser and hit Enter.  Google will now only show you facial images of the person you were looking for

If you have to flag alot of dvds that are in order you can press and hold space flag them all very quickly.
