| Posted: | | | | Hi folks, I have been a DVD-Profile user since a few years. But mostly I use the local installed software. Once I started and uploaded my DVDs online.
My questions are: - whether its possible to either reset the whole uploaded collection and afterwards start again with the different (but not all) movies I want to upload (filtered) or if the software does a kind of sync?
- I have movies which are not longer in my collection anymore but are uploaded. What's about those movies? A sync should solve this problem, but does it a sync or only an easy upload of the whole database?
Thanx in advance thunderstorm |

| Posted: | | | | The simplest way to empty the online DB is to create a new local DB (File -> Open Database) and upload that empty database. As far as a filtered collection goes: The only filter criteria is the "adult flag". It's more a workaround than an actual solution. You can set this flag on all movies you don't want to show and enable the adult filter for the online collection. A totally different solution would be the use of phpDVDProfiler, it's a stand-alone solution that requires PHP and MySQL webspace. When you do an upload (Online -> DVD Profiler Online...) it makes it so your online is a mirror of your local. Newly added DVDs to your local are added to your online, and newly removed ones are removed. So: Yes, it synchs. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS! Thanx in advance thunderstorm As Karsten says, creating a new empty database and uploading that will wipe clean your online collection listing. As far as uploading only certain DVDs, that's not possible. The upload tansfers your entire collection to your online listing. What you could do is create two databases and only upload the database that has the titles you wish to include in your online listing. This method is a pain in the rear though as you will have to maintain two seperate databases. Or, as Karsten also suggested, you can change the rating to Adult for those titles that you don't want to include in your listing and make sure your online collection settings are set NOT to include Adult titles. Or ...if you have the ability to host your own collection, you can give phpDVDProfiler a try. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks on all of the answers. I'll make the empty database and probably trying to hold two different local databases (one for online and one for local and with all the stuff). I hope that it doesn't make me ill aith nearly 700 movies ;-(
Have a nice time

Thanks as I was looking for ways to control the Online collection more. It would be nice to control filters and Sort from the link (via the querystring on the url) but that doesn't seem to work. How would I control the SortOrder of my 2nd copy of the database so I could then control what appears online? |

Try phpDVDprofiler or phpmyprofiler Thanks but it looks like that would require either some sort of export/import from this program or re-entering my entire collection. Can we export a filtered list to a backup File in DVD Profiler? |
