I wanna hear what people have to say about the sound of their Discs. Which ones really sound great? What format are they.

Here are some Titles that really, really sounded impressive:

Twister (HD-DVD, TrueHD)
Air Force One (Blu Ray, uncompressed PCM)
Terminator 2 - Ultimate HD Edition (HD-DVD, DTS HD Master 7.1)
Speed (Blu Ray, DTS HD Master 5.1)

These are all titles that could be used as demo's in the Studio at the company I work.

What titles did you think sounded amazing?

I really like the sound on the chase-scenes in Ronin. Especially the one in the tunnel (with the short police-pursuit).
The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson)

I have the Blu Ray of that one. I just checked, that one has DTS HD Master 5.1 sound.
Thanks for the info. I'll check it out tonight!

I recently watched "I, Robot". It had a DTS HD MA 5.1 Track that really blew me away.

I would have to say that this is the current reference Disc for the Blu Ray Format

(The Picture too, is of course awesome)

I have to add "3:10 to Yuma" (German BD) which had a 5.1 True HD mix to the list. Great, great demo material.

Where i'm thinking of right now are:
Hamburger Hill, the impact of the after burning/fire what the planes throw.
Always, the beginning with the plane and the fire of the woods.
Backdraft, the fires will also do good.

But maybe later i will think of some other movies.

My favorite sound is in Ratatouille (Disney).

When Remy is on that raft somewhere in the beginning of this film. Very great sound scene!
