| | Posted: | | | | I'd leave the shrink wrap one alone also, but either of the others (or even both if you want to contribute twice) would be fine for the DB. Although if you contribute both the scans should include the appropriate UPC for each profile. Maybe do one scan before removing the sticker and one after. Although again, that's a bit above-and-beyond, I can't say I've ever bothered myself. |

| | Posted: | | | | BTW, I've just noticed that the profile contributed as 097368-801820 US in the online db... actually shows barcode 097368-801844 on the back cover image scan, same as the other profile contributed with that very same UPC. Remember, there is only a general agreement that we use the UPC on the cover if there is one on shrink-wrap too. There's nothing in the program or the rules to verify this, so we can't rely on everyone doing the same.
Technically it is a valid barcode for that DVD, so I can't think of any good reason to remove it. |
