Would just like some clarification, I have submitted a profile that does contain a personal preference but is not against the rules i like to have a blank space dividing the Uncredited cast from the credited cast i fully admit this is a personal preference and understand that not all will like it but is it a valid reason to vote no on a profile that corrects allot of mistakes in a profile.
The rules state
Quote:
If a user is following the Contribution Rules and his/her data is accurate, and the contribution replaces data which is inaccurate or violates these Contribution Rules, a "No" vote is considered an abuse of the voting privilege and should be avoided when possible.

Now the profile i have submitted does "replaces data which is inaccurate" but the rules also says "If a user is following the Contribution Rules" i don't think i am breaking any rules by having the space but as i have stated it is a personal preference so voting no may be perfectly valid as this is also a personal preference so what do you think should i remove the blank space (which breaks no rules that i am aware of) or should i leave it i have submitted cast lists like this before and don't remember it being a issue before.

This is one of those areas that isn't specifically covered in the rules.  The rule simply says,"Uncredited actors may be listed in alphabetical order following all credited actors."  I never thought about it, and have alwasy read it as meaning to just continue the cast list, but I guess it is open to interpretation.

Since it is open to interpretation, and you freely admit that it is a personal preference, you have to expect that people will vote their personal preference.

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

What are the comments of the No voters? Is it only the space divider? Or did you miss to add sources for your other changes?
You could post the UPC here, so we can have a look and maybe clarify...

Agree... when something is entered that don't break the rules because is not covered in the rules then it is fine to vote in the same way. I don't have the DVD this is about... but on a personal note I would agree with the no voters.

I voted neutral as you were not 'officially' breaking the rules Nick, and the other changes you were making were valuable

Are you using the divider feature? If so, it can be argued that it is against the rules.

The dividers are mentioned two places in the rules:

Quote:
Enter Cast and Crew for each episode using standard rules, and insert dividers to separate each episode's credit list from the others. Do not list Cast and Crew outside of the dividers even if they are credited in all episodes.

and

Quote:

Do not include artificial actor entries to act as separators between cast lists. (e.g. "--JAPANESE CAST--"), instead use the Divider feature for this.

Since you aren't using the dividers to separate different cast lists, it can be argued that it is against the rules. At least that is my opinion. (And for the record, I haven't voted on this title)

Would not the Uncredited be considered a separate cast list as they are not in the credits?

If you submit something that is not covered by the rules and is only there on a personal whim, then it seems only right that users can vote based on their own personal whims.  Seems a little disengenuous to throw something out there just because you like it and then attempt to remove people's ability to disagree.  If you're that attached to it, leave it local and lock it.

so voting no may be perfectly valid as this is also a personal preference
As you can see from my first post i said that voting no may be valid. I may have not worded my post properly sometimes what I'm thinking and what comes out on the page are not quite the same
